The Marilyn Table is a bit less modest than most.
Turning up a corner of it's surface, this side table takes on an anthropomorphic character- like a creature peaking out from under or, true to it's name, a skirt activated by wind.
My first piece of furniture, The Marilyn Table was a rigorous introduction to woodshop machinery and design production.
process
I created a sliding jig to drive parts of the table's apron into the spindle sander. This way I was able to ensure that the fish mouth joint that held the apron part to the leg was perpendicular to the fish mouth joint that held the the apron part the corresponding apron part.
